Library Cell

 

Library and information cell is a prominent library of the state of Madhya Pradesh in the field of forestry. It houses books, reports, Indian Forest Records, Working Plans, Working Schemes, Forest resource surveys and Sanctuary Plans. Apart from the research staff of the Institute, forest officers, scientists and technical staff make use of the library facilities. Students, research scholars from various institutes and universities also visit the library regularly.

This cell maintains literature on forestry and allied subjects. It has books on environment, silviculture, forest protection, mensuration, management, marketing, utilization, social forestry, biodiversity, ecology, botany, tissue culture, tree improvement, law, medicinal plants, wildlife, seed science and computer science, etc.

I did my Under Graduate Degree in Biology subject from Mahatma Gandhi M.V. Kareli (M.P..) in 1990, Master Degree in Political Science form Govt. College Begumganj in 1992, Master Degree in Library & Information Science from MLB College, Gwalior (M.P.) in 1994 and Master Degree in Philosophy in 1999 & LLB Degree in 2008 form RDVV, Jabalpur (M.P.). I joined this institute in year 1997 & working in Library and Information Cell continuously.

I joined this institute in year 1997 & working in Library  and Information Cell continuously.

 

The main activity of this cell is to provide research literature to the researcher through under mention tools

  3. REPORTS (GOVT. & NGO’S)
  4. INDIAN FOREST RECORDS

Services Rendered

  • Provide literature to library users.
  • Provide current awareness service to library users.
  • Reading facility (for external users) is available at nominal fee (Rs.100/- for per month per head)
