This lab consist RTPCR, Gel Documentation System, Electrophorosis, Cooling Centrifuge and other instruments. Using these facilities genetic diversity assessment of important forestry and medicinal plant species has been done using molecular marker techniques. A new trend of Forest Biotechnology “Wood Forensic Study” has also been developed successfully for teak to control illegal loggings.
